ATM Locations
On the Dutch Side
The Windward Island Bank accepts Visa, Mastercard
and cards marked Cirrus. ATM's located at Headquarters Building, Pondfill Cyrus Wathey square Branch,,
RAMs on Bush Road and the Simpson Bay branch on Airport Road and at Bobby's
Marina.
ABN AMRO-Bank accepts Visa, Mastercard and
Cirrus at their Headquarters Building on Emmaplein (marina end of Frontstreet
in Philipsburg) also the Colebay branch on Union Road
French Side

The ATM in the image above is on Rue de la Republique in Marigot.
There are numerous ATM's on both sides of the island. Remember, the ones
on the french side only deliver Euros. While the ATM's on the Dutch side
offer Antillian Guilders and U.S. dollars. You also get to choice your
language, a choice of English, Dutch and Papiamento.

Climate
The average temperature is 80 F, dry at 40" annually, water temperature is 78 F.
Currency
Dutch Side
Antillean Guilders (N.a.f..) is the official
currency. U.S dollars also welcome.
French Side
The Euro is the official currency on the French side, although U.S.
dollars are graciously accepted
Drinking Water
Desaliation plants on both sides of the island provide perfectly safe for drinking tap
water. Imported bottled water is also available

Foreign and International drivers licences are accepted on both the Dutch and French
sides of the island. Driving is on the right hand side.

Shops also occasionally open on Sunday if there is a cruise ship in port
French Side: Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Taxis
Taxi rates are set by the governments on both sides of the island. Taxis are unmetered.
Charges are based on carrying two passengers per trip, an extra fee is charged for each
additional passenger. A large board with the fares to most major points on the island is
on display at Juliana Airport. Always ask the driver the fare in advance. Tip 10-15%.
